They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. Well Adam and Emma are starting off their marriage with a ton of good luck! It rained the day they got engaged, their wedding shower day and during their rehearsal dinner as well, so it was only fitting that it rained on their wedding day. We were blessed with a little break, to capture some outdoor photos on the gorgeous Holly Hedge Estate property. The bride wore a the Tamsin gown from one of my favorites – BHLDN! She looked so stunning! The groom wore a suit from Jos. A. Bank and looked handsome as he waited to see his bride for the first time. The couple choose the second floor of the barn to do their first look. It was a beautiful location that overlooked where their ceremony would take place a little later that day.
During their ceremony, guests were asked to pass around the bride and grooms wedding bands and give their blessing and best wishes for the soon to be newlyweds. After their ceremony, we grabbed some family photos and headed off to their reception. Adam and Emma’s reception was full of cute details. When guests entered the reception room, there was a polaroid camera to take a selfie with for the guest book, as well as a hand written seating chart on rustic windows. I loved their guest favors – a seed packet in a tin pail that said “Let love grow”. Emma, I would have completely stolen this idea for my own wedding…especially since my last name is Grow!)
The bride and groom shared their first dance, and subsequent father daughter and mother son dances. Adam danced with both his mother and Emma’s mother, which was really sweet and something I don’t think I’ve ever seen at a wedding before. The sister of the bride gave a sweet speech and the Best Man had everyone laughing.
For their cake table, the bride and groom choose to have a cupcake bar for their guests and cut a tiny cake adorned with a handmade cake topper portraying them and their dog. At the end of the night, we went out and took a few night shots, you can see them at the end of this post!
