The Farm at Eagles Ridge Wedding \\ Lancaster, PA \\ Danielle + John

The Farm at Eagles Ridge Wedding

When Danielle and I chatted about her upcoming wedding, I was so excited for her! Not only was I so happy for my friend (We’ve known each other since middle school!) but also because her venue has been on my list of dream venues to shoot at! They way she talked about John; I knew she had found the man of her dreams. I was so honored to be apart of their big day!

Farm at Eagles Ridge Wedding
The Farm at Eagles Ridge is situated on 150 acres of quiet, peaceful countryside in the heart of Lancaster. It was the perfect location for Danielle and John’s wedding! Both the bride and groom got ready in the Stone Farmhouse. The bridal suite was a photographers DREAM. Light and airy with neutral tones, tall windows and of course plenty of natural light! Danielle picked so many cute details for her wedding day, and John handmade the couple’s wedding bands! The two exchanged gifts before the ceremony, and Danielle had me tearing up when she was talking about how much she loved John a few minutes before walking down the aisle. Farm at Eagles Ridge Wedding

When you are around these two, you can just tell how much they love each other! Read below to learn more about their story!

How did you meet?

We met twice. The first time we ever met was through eHarmony. We actually went on one date but then we lost touch for about a month. Then we met again when our family set us up. My mom was his grandfather’s nurse and my mom and John’s uncle set us up. We have been together every since.

How did your husband propose?

He proposed to me on the morning of Christmas Eve. We went to Washington’s Crossing Park so that he could fly the drone so he could scan some tiles on a roof. He was tricking me because he was just trying to get me to go with him. I was standing at the monument for George Washington and the drone was in front of me and it was actually recording and he proposed to me and we caught it all on film.

What did you like most about your venue?

I loved all the layers of the venue and how there was something for everyone to enjoy the night. There was the barn, which was the main reception area, but then we had the patio, corncrib, and the fire pit.  My favorite part of the venue is the corncrib and we rented antique furniture to go in it.

What was the most fun part about planning your wedding?

I enjoyed spending the time make these decisions with my husband and making it truly a reflection of who we are as a couple.

Any tips for future brides?

Don’t worry about the small details just enjoy the party! It goes by too quickly to even worry. DRINK WATER!
