I wanted to share my new office space with you! I am just loving all the natural light in our sunroom!
My goals for this space were:
1. A cozy space to blog and edit
2. A standing desk
3. Not purchase anything for this project!
Without a doubt, number three was the hardest part! I love how everything came together though. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you’ll recognize that faux fireplace. That was the first project Jordan and I ever made together when we were first married. I had wanted a fireplace to hang our stockings for Christmas, but we lived in an apartment at the time, so I sketched something on a napkin (Not even a sheet of paper! haha) and we went to the thrift store and bought a bed frame and then headed to Home Depot for the remaining scrap wood, L brackets, screws and molding pieces. So funny how we did this without any tools (We didn’t have any back then in our little apartment!), just a screw driver!
My “Desk” I purchased years ago at a Goodwill for $20. It was brown and had ugly yellow doors. I chalk painted the whole piece and sprayed all the hardware with copper spray paint and the doors white. The top piece of wood is from an old cabinet that someone gave us.
My couch is actually my husbands old bright red leather loveseat. I hated the color, but it’s so comfy. We had purchased a cover a few years ago on clearance from Target for around $15. I love it, because it reminds me of the Pottery Barn couches.
The coffee table was given to us by my husband’s Grandma. She didn’t care what we did with it, so it got chalk painted to match my “desk”.
