I met up with Carli and Keith at Sayen Gardens in Hamilton, New Jersey for their garden engagement session. We didn’t realize that two local high schools were having their prom that same evening. There were so many high school seniors and their parents and photographers all over the gardens. We had to get creative with our locations, but everything worked out. Sayen Gardens is a beautiful location for a garden engagement session this time of year. All of the flowers are in bloom right now, including the gorgeous azaleas.
I know the bride-to-be from my dental assisting days! She is also a dental assistant and it was great to see her again! I got to meet Keith for the first time at their engagement session and I am looking forward to their Hotel Du Village wedding next Spring! Read below, to hear their adorable proposal story and view a little sneak preview from their engagement session!
A note from the Bride-to-Be about their proposal story:
“On Christmas Day I woke up very sick. I almost didn’t get out of bed. It was also our 3 year anniversary! I have a huge Italian family, and Christmas is always big deal! My father always makes an annual toast surrounded by all of our loved ones. My dad begins his toast, and just when we thought he was finished he says “Keith, would like to address our family?”. I instantly knew what was about to happen, because Keith usually doesn’t like to be the center of attention. So Keith begins to talk about how it was our 3 year anniversary, and how much he loves everyone in my family, and how my family has become his family. He gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him. Of course I said YES! First he hands me a candy ring, I take it, then he hands me a ring from the 25 cent machine, and then he finally hands me the real deal. My family went NUTS! Words couldn’t even describe how happy, loved, and excited I felt!”
